Okay so admittedly, this one is cheating a little bit because it was shot in Shilo and Austin's lifestyle studio (insert that emoji of the monkey covering their eyes) but the same rules apply. We will always find a window to shoot by, it's a very relaxed/unposed session of you and your little family being your normal everyday selves. We will almost always shoot in your nursery, or wherever your designated space for baby is. I promise you do not have to worry about cleaning your home - if something is annoyingly in a shot, I will discreetly move it. Newborn sessions always take a little longer than typical sessions and that's okay! Feed baby, change their diaper, rock them and comfort them for as long as they need. I may give you the tiniest amount of direction such as rocking baby by the window, or kissing their forehead, but the newborn days are such a sacred time and I am only here to document and absolutely not to stress anyone out. Having had babies of my own too, my biggest priority is to protect your peace while capturing these moments - so I want you to read this and HEAR it - DO NOT CLEAN YOUR HOUSE. Do not let this session stress you out. I promise I will move anything I need to move, I will absolutely never ever judge anything like dirty diapers, or needing to take a feeding break, or anything else you may see. To me, I see a magical and sacred space, and hopefully after your session, that's what you will see as well.
